Richard Sandrak was dubbed the world’s strongest youngster when he immigrated to the United States from Ukraine some fifteen years ago.
Richard began exercising regularly even as a small child. Even at the age of eight, he was able to bench press over thirty pounds! He was 11 years old and could lift 53 pounds!
At the age of 24, it is difficult to characterize him as a jock.
He received a lot of invitations to competitions, TV events, advertisements, magazines, and even movies after he was given the moniker “Little Hercules.” In order for the son to fully realize himself, Richard’s family relocated to California.
The boy’s father, a former international martial arts champion, kept an eye on his training, diet, and regimen. Frequently, the father faced criticism for mistreating his son and placing excessive demands on him.
And when Richard’s father abused his mother, he called the police at the age of 11. Due to domestic abuse, the man was placed in jail.
The youngster lost contact with his father and his identity was lost to him. He continued to practice for a while, but it dwindled with time.
Right now, Richard states: “I don’t try to hide this chapter of my life from anyone, and I am very proud of my accomplishments as a child.” He continues, saying, “I just don’t want to live like that any longer.” “It was their attempt to portray me as some sort of natural evil.”
Richard still works out now, but not to the same extreme. In addition to skating, he runs every morning. His occupation is stunt work for the Los Angeles production of “Waterworld,” where he performs fire stunts and must jump from a height at least five times a day.
His unexpected response when asked what he intended to accomplish with his life was, “A scientist, doing quantum physics… or an engineer at NASA. Why not?”
