The well-known musician revealed that he has had an incredible number of body parts removed throughout the years.
Elton John joked that there is “not much” of him left after revealing the number of organs he has had removed over the years.
At the presentation of a brand-new documentary about him, the iconic singer opened up about his health problems.
In the film Elton John: Never Too Late, the 77-year-old singer reflects on his 50-year career as he gets ready for his last performance at Dodger Stadium.
During the film’s premiere, the actor made a joke with the audience about his own health, saying, “To be honest with you, there’s not much of me left.”
“I don’t have an appendix, tonsils, or adenoids,” he remarked, referencing the “Ship of Theseus” cliché in which the ship has so many replacement parts that it is no longer the original ship.
I don’t have a prostate. My right hip, right knee, and left knee are all gone. Actually, the only part of me that remains is my left hip.
“But I remain here,” the singer continued. And I will always be thankful to you because you are the ones who created me.

John has experienced a number of health problems over the years, including hip and knee replacement surgery.
Last month, the famous person claimed to be recovering from a “severe eye infection” that was so bad it was affecting his vision.
In the 1990s, a pacemaker was also implanted to help with his irregular pulse.
In 2009, John was hospitalized for influenza and a bacterial infection. His appendix was found to have an abscess in 2013, and he had “gastric flu” in 2016.
Years of touring also had an impact on John’s health.

His hearing has suffered the most as a result of the extended exposure to loud noise.
When John recently announced that he would be retiring from performing, he said, “As you know, I decided to stop touring because I’m 77 years of age.”
“I’ve given it my all on the field. I’ve achieved success. I went there and finished the assignment.
The recently published documentary, Elton John: Never Too Late, had its international debut at the Toronto Film Festival.
On December 13, it will debut on Disney+ in the United States.
According to the film’s summary, “this documentary tells Elton John’s story as it’s never been told before, with exclusive access to Elton onstage, behind the scenes, and in the recording studio.”
