Swedish photographer and artist embraces winter with ice-cold baths

A little over ten years ago, Jonna Jinton decided to follow her passion.

Having grown up in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, she packed up her things and moved 600 miles north into Sweden’s thick woodlands when she was 21.

She shares her life and stories on social media with videos eight years later. Over the years, Jonna’s simple lifestyle, nature-inspired artwork, and personal writing have helped her build an incredible following.

Furthermore, some of this young woman’s motivational films get a little more attention.

makes films based on her life.

Many individuals dream of leaving everything behind and moving to the peace and quiet of the countryside, and Jonna achieved this dream.

Her ancestors had lived in the tiny, ten-person community of Grundtjarn in northern Sweden, where she moved.

Now that she lives so close to nature, Jonna concentrates on creating art, which is her true passion. Every day, both during the day and at night, she captures the marvels and magical moments of Mother Nature.

It is easy to identify the origins of her inspiration.

Nature is, in my opinion, my most precious treasure. “That connection is where I get all of my inspiration,” Jonna told the Swedish website Expressen.

Millions of people have seen the 29-year-old’s uplifting and occasionally comical movies on life in northern Sweden. She currently has 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube.

Earlier this fall, Jonna published a new clip. It talks about how cold Sweden gets in the fall and winter. Despite being ill most of the time last year due to the cold, Jonna says in the video that she is positive this winter will be different.

The icy water comes in.

If you want to challenge yourself, you must deal with the Swedish weather. Because she believes it will strengthen her, Jonna regularly takes a bath at a nearby lake.

She is seen on camera plunging for the first time into the icy water. Everything is quiet and serene, but when Jonna turns around, the cold water up to her neck seems to be making it difficult for her to breathe.

I can feel my blood pounding through my body, doing everything it can to keep me alive, and I feel a thousand times more alive as I walk into ice-cold water. Jonna says, “I am totally present right now,” in the video.

Watch the inspiring and beautiful movie below! I would never dare to do what Jonna does; she is an amazing woman! Talk about exerting yourself!
