When Angelica was born on May 6, 2018, she was incredibly beautiful. She had a lovely button nose, a heart-shaped stain from port wine on her face, and lovely eyes.
Marianna Bowering, Angelica’s mother, claims that although though many of her friends and family members accept her daughter’s birthmark, some still feel obligated to comment on her appearance.
The worst online comment I’ve ever seen was when someone asked whether her face had been put on a pan. “Basically, saying her face looked grilled,” Bowering explained.

Unfortunately, when I applied this makeup look to make Angelica seem as beautiful as she does today, she was already asleep for the night.
Marianna revealed that her daughter had received derogatory remarks, including the terms “hideous” and “defect.” Even though the cruelty and insensitivity of these comments only made things worse for this family, their tenacity and determination to conquer these obstacles ultimately resulted in a remarkable transformation.
Despite the cruel comments, Bowering is doing everything in her power to let Angelica know that she is beautiful in her own right.
The 27-year-old mother recently decided to use makeup to create an exact replica of her daughter’s birthmark on her face.

Bowering got the idea from Vascular Birthmark Awareness Day, where people are encouraged to paint a heart on their cheeks.”I initially just used the heart makeup look, but I ultimately made the bold decision to use Angelica’s port wine stain.”
I wanted to be as beautiful as my little beauty, so I put on makeup to appear exactly like her! She’s still more gorgeous.Mariana Bowering posted this on Saturday, May 16, 2020.
Marianna became very unhappy when some people told her that her daughter’s facial spots will ultimately disappear and others stated that Angelica could easily cover them up with makeup if she wanted to.
These remarks further added to the mother’s distress and frustration as she wondered why her daughter should have to hide rather than value her natural beauty.
In addition to being a heartbreaking reminder of the harsh reality that those who don’t meet the standards of conventional beauty must face, it also highlighted how crucial it is to accept and love everyone for who they are, regardless of appearance.
Bowering and her husband didn’t believe that one of them should feel bad about their daughter’s birthmark from the beginning. As a result, they try very hard to make sure they realize it is something to celebrate.
Before painting the matching “birthmark,” Bowering used glitter to Angelica’s port wine stain to “make it shine.”
Although youngsters with port wine stains on their faces are prone to major health problems, Bowering told TODAY that Angelica is in good condition.
Thankfully, tests have revealed that Angelica is in perfect health, Bowering said. “We just need to have regular check-ups, especially for her eyes, because glaucoma can be a concern.”
Angelica, you’re really beautiful. If someone tells you otherwise, don’t believe them.
Marianna Thank you for being such a great mother and for constantly showing your child that her birthmark is totally normal.
