Fiona Phillips’s husband offers a disheartening update.

On Sunday, March 30, former This Morning anchor Martin Frizell delivered a heartbreaking Mother’s Day tribute to his wife on Instagram.

Four years ago, Martin posted a photo of Fiona waving and grinning at the camera.

“You’re not alone if Mother’s Day is tough,” he said as the photo’s caption.

“Talk about the good times,” Martin went on. Four years prior to the onset of her symptoms, Fiona looked like this. It’s my favorite picture of an amazing mom.

The Mother of the Year award went to Fiona.

Nat and Mackenzie, Fiona’s two twentysomething sons, are her children.

In a follow-up post, Martin also shared a photo of the specially etched glass Fiona received in 2007 as “Mum of the Year.”

Martin wrote, “In our home, this was more significant than any BAFTA, NTA, or RTS.”

The most recent autobiography written by Fiona

In February, it was made public that Fiona is writing a book in spite of her battle with Alzheimer’s.

She is working on the book, Remember When, with the help of her friend, writer Allison Phillips, and her husband, Martin.

A UK publishing company called Pan Macmillan has acquired the rights to the novel. It is projected that Remember When will go on sale in July 2025.

The press release claims that, written with Fiona’s trademark candor, “Remember Me is a gripping and poignant memoir as well as a book offering an important insight into life with a disease that will impact many of us.”
