It was the final day of his 35-year career delivering mail in the same neighborhood, through rain, snow, and scorching heat.
At the first house, a family warmly congratulated him and handed him a generous gift card.
At the second stop, he was presented with a box of high-end cigars.
At the third, he received a collection of quality fishing lures.
All along his route, neighbors paused to thank him, offering farewell cards, small gifts, and heartfelt goodbyes.
Then he arrived at the last house.

A striking blonde answered the door wearing a sheer nightgown, took his hand, and led him upstairs for an unforgettable farewell surprise.
Afterward, she treated him to an enormous breakfast—eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, waffles, juice, and coffee.
But when he lifted his coffee cup, he noticed a single dollar bill underneath.
“Why the dollar?” he asked, puzzled.
She smiled and explained, “Last night I told my husband it was your final day and that we should do something special. I asked him what we should give you.”
“He said, ‘Screw him—just give him a dollar.’”
Blushing, she added, “The breakfast was my idea.”
