Tara Simon owns a performing arts studio in Atlanta and trains singers every day. She warmed up with push-ups backstage and joked that she was the Simon Cowell of her own studio.
In front of the judges she said she wanted to win The X Factor and one day sit on the panel herself. Simon asked her to take off her hat and start singing, and she launched into “Without You” with big, dramatic high notes. 🎶
Simon felt she oversang in parts, almost as if a vocal coach had told her how to do it, but he said she had real talent and steel in her eyes. Demi Lovato admitted the Mariah Carey style runs blew her away.
L.A. Reid called it a little theatrical but still a yes, and Britney Spears agreed. Tara left with four yeses and a promise that this time it was her turn. ❤️
