Just when we thought we may be able to move past our fascination with Daisy Jones & The Six, we’ve binge-watched the show, listened to the music repeatedly, and imitated every single outfit that Riley Keough and Camila Morrone’s characters wore.
With her most recent “fit,” Margot Robbie has instantly returned us to a focus on 1970s fashion.
Margot looked amazing yesterday at the Chanel Cruise 2024 Collection fashion show in Los Angeles. She wore a black bra and high-waisted, light-wash pants with a flared leg that was exaggerated, giving her a ’70s-inspired lewk. Over the top, she wore a gold chain vest that looked like it was made of brooches and watch faces from Chanel. Her only accessories were a gold bracelet around her wrist, a Chanel watch, and a black quilted handbag.
Overall, she appeared extremely amazing, as stated.
It was expected that Margot would be seated in the front row at the function. The actress became a Chanel ambassador in 2018 and has worn the brand nearly exclusively ever then for her red carpet appearances, the most recent of which being at the 2023 Met Gala.
Margot’s Met “fit” was a retro-inspired ensemble, much like her bra and flared combo, which likewise took inspiration from the past. The stunning black gown, which she wore on the first Monday of May, was a replica of the famous Chanel gown from 1993 that Cindy Crawford wore, which was originally created by Karl Lagerfeld.
Margot does occasionally stray from Chanel, combining ensembles from other fashion houses like Versace and Alaïa with pieces from her favorite label. She wore an on-theme pink gingham Prada two-piece to a CinemaCon promo event for Barbie, the movie in which Margot plays the title character.
Margot finished the retro-inspired ensemble with fuchsia Christian Louboutin heels, accessorizing with a crop top and miniskirt.
We are eager to see what Margot wears next because fashion houses like Chanel, Prada, Valentino, and Bottega Veneta are vying for the Australian star’s business.
