When a young man arrived for his wedding wearing jeans and a T-shirt, it created a sensation on social media.
16-year-old Violet Price posted a TikTok video of her “best friend,” Catherine Nicholson, getting married to her husband, who was dressed casually.
The groom’s carefree attire has drawn criticism from a significant portion of the over 1.5 million viewers who have viewed the video online, according to YorkshireLive.
He wore gray washed jeans and sneakers with a black T-shirt from Palm Angels, a streetwear brand, for the occasion.
The bride, Kate, wore a more traditional outfit. She donned a white wedding gown in the mermaid style, complete with a drawn-in waistline and a lace train.
In the footage, two teenage girls could be seen enjoying themselves on a carnival ride. “My best friend a couple of months ago telling me she ain’t gunna fall in love,” Violet wrote in response to the video.
They can be heard stating in the background, “I ain’t falling in love this summer, I do my thing this summer.” After just two months, the movie then shows Catherine on her wedding day.
“Had he been unaware that he was getting married?” inquired with someone.
“Wedding at 5. Wetherspoons with the lads at 6,” chuckled someone else.
Another commented, “I would’ve done a u-turn as soon as I saw him,” adding that Catherine was stunning.
One individual said, “This is probably indicative of the amount of effort he’ll put into the marriage as well.”
People Were Enraged When a Man Wore Jeans and a T-Shirt to His Wedding
When a young man arrived for his wedding wearing jeans and a T-shirt, it created a sensation on social media.
“Can you picture putting in so much work to look gorgeous, and your “fiancé” turns up like that?”
Violet, however, would not tolerate it at all. “For God sake stop, she’s married and very happy,” she said to trolls who questioned her friend’s happiness.
“She’s married, that’s all that matters, she doesn’t care how he dresses.”
Violet Price supported her closest friend’s fiancé despite the anger of many.
