A source who talked to PEOPLE claims that because of marital strife, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are “focused on their separate lives” this summer.

Lopez recently returned from her European vacation to Los Angeles. The insider claims that the actress “enjoyed her trip to Europe” and “has more travel planned, but is back in L.A. for now.”
Before Lopez came back from her trip to Europe, the Academy Award-winning director packed up his entire possessions from the couple’s Beverly Hills mansion, a source had previously told PEOPLE. This was more than a month after PEOPLE first reported that Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, were living apart in Los Angeles while they worked through marital tension.
Ben is still living at the Brentwood rental home. Another source said he has been there for the last two months. He seems to be doing OK. He has been to his place of employment every day and seems to be concentrated on his work. He’s interacting with his kids as well.
On June 26, following the Atlas actress’s return from her trip, the couple reunited. They were observed leaving separately from each other inside their respective workplaces in a West Hollywood building.
Despite the speculations about their romance, Affleck and Lopez “remain friendly,” according to a source, and are focusing on their businesses and kids. Lopez even shared a photo of Affleck, labeled “our hero,” on her Instagram Story on June 16 as an emotional Father’s Day tribute.
While Affleck is the father of three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner—Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12—Lopez is the mother of twins Emme and Max, 16, who she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
