The brief marriage of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert was marred by rumors of a breakdown. Now, each is happily married to a different partner.
Given their well-known roles in the music business, it makes sense that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert fell in love so quickly.
Their mutual love of music brought them together, despite the fact that he was still married when he met her. Eventually, their relationship ended in divorce.
The two musicians first interacted in 2005, following their entrances at CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets Concert.
She was drawn to him right away, but since he was married, he disregarded her. Likewise, Shelton fell head over heels for the “Drunk” singer right away.
The start of their amorous story
In a later interview, Lambert stated that she knew Shelton was married after seeing his wedding photo in Country Weekly. She went on to say:
“I should have realized that this is not allowed. My parents are, like, real private investigators. I’ve spent my entire life seeing affairs. There are very few people who can actually know better than me.
She was unable to deny the “inevitable chemistry” they had from the beginning, though. A year later, Shelton filed for divorce from Kaynette Williams and pursued Lambert.
In 2010, Shelton made the proposal to Lambert, but he did it in honor of her father. The singer of “God’s Country” called Lambert’s father to gain his blessing before popping the question on May 9 and revealing a platinum and diamond ring that he had personally chosen.
After five years together, he knew precisely what I wanted, so even though it’s so much more perfect than I could have chosen, Lambert said. The country music performer loved the informal get-together that was the proposal.
2010 was a remarkable year for Lambert, except from that one singular incident. In January, her song “White Liar” became her first number one hit, and she won the ACM Awards for Album of the Year and Top Female Vocalist.
The couple wed in 2011, but their marriage quickly ran into difficulties. In 2013, there were rumors of a breakup, which the couple denied.
The judge from “The Voice” at the time claimed that his wife could use his phone whenever she pleased to prove that there were no secrets in their union. He said:
We really do have that degree of confidence. Nothing is kept a secret. I’ll tell her, “Go search through my drawers or my computer if you feel like it,” and it’s been quite beneficial because I don’t want her to have any doubts at all.
The couple didn’t seem to be impacted by the continued allegations in 2014, and they even joked about the alleged divorce. “I think I’ve had like five sets of twins and we’ve been divorced four times, and one of us had a $100 million divorce,” said Lambert of his past two years of marriage.
In July 2021, Shelton and Stefani tied the knot in a secret ceremony held in a small chapel on the “Home” singer’s farm in Oklahoma.
On social media that year, the couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary with warm wishes.
Lambert said that although marriage was challenging, it was also a beautiful gift that shouldn’t be taken too seriously. She went on to say:
Our unwavering objective is to be together. I wouldn’t want to be across the country on our anniversary! That is a priceless moment.
But the two soon demonstrated that there was unrest in paradise, confirming the veracity of the tales. In April 2014, Shelton and Gwen Stefani worked together as coaches on season nine of “The Voice.”
Within a year of being together for four years, Shelton and Lambert announced their divorce. In a released statement, they stated:
We are real people with real families, real friends, real coworkers. We humbly ask for your patience and discretion in this extremely private matter.
The pair said that they were taken aback by the breakup and that they had to take a chance by deciding to carry on leading independent lives.
Shelton and Lambert remained silent on the issue both before and after the statement was released. Together, they enjoyed ten amazing years, including their romance period.
LIFE AFTER CORPORATION
After their breakup, Shelton dated Gwen Stefani, his co-star on “The Voice,” right away. They formally announced their relationship on November 4, 2015, through Shelton’s representative, who said:
“Gwen and Blake have been friends for a while, but they just recently became romantically involved.”
The couple asserted that their similar divorces and life experiences made their relationship stronger.
In 2020, Shelton eventually disclosed his divorce to Lambert. He revealed information about their split in the song “If I’m Honest.”
“Maybe not specifics,” he replied. Still, you get the general idea. It is my divorce journal, but maybe more than that, it is also my happiness and infatuation log.
He must own that his second divorce has completely destroyed him. Shelton isn’t stopping people from thinking that his song “She’s Got a Way With Words,” which is about a spouse who lied and strayed, is a reflection of his own relationship, even though he didn’t write it. He said:
When you’re depressed, you have to let go of it—at least, that’s how I feel. You want to be able to connect with other people. I was at my lowest, in the middle of hell.
However, there was also someone who had a good understanding of him. He will never forget that day. “I looked at Gwen, who I didn’t really know, and she had these big tears in her eyes. “Wow, she really feels bad for me,” was what struck me.
The “Candyman” singer and her 20-year husband Gavin Rossdale have filed for divorce. Their strong bond started when she spoke with Shelton alone later on.
Their friendship developed over time, and they went from exchanging understandings to once a week email exchanges. He said:
“Then she’s my whole world when I wake up, and I wonder if she feels the same way about me.”
In July 2021, Shelton and Stefani tied the knot in a secret ceremony held in a small chapel on the “Home” singer’s farm in Oklahoma. Fortunately, Stefani’s kids and relatives are incredibly fond of her new spouse and have a positive influence on her. She says:
“My style has never been more feminine. I believe it’s because I actually love this man and he’s pretty manly. I like it now that I’ve let that side of myself come through.
Three months after their first date, Lambert also married New York City cop Brendan McLoughlin. They were in love even though he was married when they first met. In 2022, it was revealed that the couple was trying to get pregnant.
