The tragic tale of Christina Sandera’s death, the longtime girlfriend of Clint Eastwood, is told. The 61-year-old passed away on July 18 after a heart attack, according to the Monterey County Health Department.
Cardiac arrhythmia, or abnormal heartbeat timing or pattern, is stated as the direct cause of death on the death certificate. Atherosclerotic coronary artery disease was also added in the list of contributing factors.
Christina Sandera was well-known not just for her relationship with Clint Eastwood but also for her charitable efforts. In a statement, Eastwood expressed his sorrow, adding, “I will miss Christina very much. She was a lovely, caring woman.” It was unexpected to lose this. The couple’s love affair began while Sandera was a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
They kept their affair a secret for ten years, but throughout that time they attended a few special events together. Sandera accompanied Eastwood on the red carpet for movies such as “The Mule” (2018), “Sully” (2016), and “The 15:17 to Paris” (2016). In November 2019, Eastwood and his partner made their final public appearance together at the AFI Fest in Hollywood, where his picture “Richard Jewell” had its premiere.
Sandera was accepted into the family by Clint Eastwood’s eight children, even though he never married her. In remembrance of Sandera, Eastwood’s daughter Morgan shared a heartfelt photo of the couple from her wedding last month. The significant day was spent at Eastwood’s well-known beach estate in Monterey County, where he had first met Sandera.
This loss has undoubtedly upset Clint Eastwood and his family. They will always cherish their memories of Christina Sandera as a loyal and supportive friend.
