A middle school kid in Auburn, Alabama, was given an unexpected surprise during a recent school photo. If you take another look at the image, you’ll see why people said, “It was scary.”
The little girl, Brooke Mills, had just started her eighth year of school. Brooke decided to take a special photo to mark the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year.
When her mother ShaneJoy Mills shot the picture, she captured something incredibly unexpected.
Everything seemed normal enough at first. The image of Brooke returning to school seemed endearing at first glance. But when her mother examined one of the photos more closely, she was really taken aback.
“Oh my god, it was scary!” In both of the pictures I shot, I asked the girl to gently show off her teeth. Then Mills said, “I saw the snake,” to WRBL.
I called out to Brooke, “Come here,” and she sent me the look that said, “I’m not done taking pictures!” I commanded Brooke to leave the tree right now. Despite my quiet words, I believe my countenance spoke it all.
The snake had nearly entirely vanished into the tree’s bark, indicating that it was well-fed. The snake has been identified as a rat snake by social media users.
This unusual photobomb has garnered attention thanks to hundreds of shares of the post. Fortunately, this snake’s primary goal was to “strike” a pose for Brooke’s school picture!
