Emily Gold, a 17-year-old cheerleader on *America’s Got Talent*, passed away suddenly. “Our lovely, compassionate, and affectionate Emily Gold passed away on September 16,” her high school dance team wrote on Instagram. “We share her passing with such a heavy heart.”
Gold and her group recently participated in *America’s Got Talent*; they made it to the quarterfinals but lost. Judge Simon Cowell gave the team a standing ovation, calling their performance “absolutely brilliant.”
