One man, Jason, has a lot of experience as a pilot. Throughout his career, he has faced a number of unexpected situations that required quick thinking to handle.
But he became a hero because of one specific occurrence.
During a recent journey, a large flock of birds suddenly attacked the airplane Jason was piloting by bashing on the windows.
The vision was so bizarre that it left Jason speechless. Knowing that the lives of the passengers were in his hands, he tried to find a way out of the angry birds, but it wasn’t as easy as he had hoped.
As he tried to reassure everyone on the plane that everything would be fine, he prayed that the birds wouldn’t damage the engine.
Unfortunately, the birds were just getting more aggressive, and Jason wasn’t sure what to do to get rid of them.
He dialed flight control for assistance, but the tower did not answer.
Since he was unable to control the jet, he made the decision to return to the airport. However, the attacks became so severe that he was forced to attempt a water landing, which was a maneuver he had never done before.
That might sound crazy, but this pilot had no other sensible option.
Thankfully, no one was injured despite the rough landing.
The airplane was pulled out of the water by tugboats when rescuers arrived on the scene. It took a while for the rescue operation to come to an end and all of the passengers were safely evacuated, despite the birds’ continued attacks. Despite the rescuers’ best attempts to scare the birds away, they continued, and it was unclear why.
After some time, an investigation determined what caused the flock of birds to assault the plane. It became out that one of the passengers was trying to carry some birds and was involved in the illegal trade in exotic birds.
When it was all over and Jason understood that everyone was safe, he was relieved and started crying with joy. In addition to preventing a catastrophe, he exposed a covert operation.
This is just another example of the challenges that people working in the aviation sector encounter.
Jason was commended for his action and for being calm while focusing on ensuring the safety of every single person on board.
This person alone was in charge of putting an end to the illegal activity that was causing the strange behavior of the birds.
