Despite only revealing his identity as Marc Spelmann in breathtaking sequences last night, Britain’s Got Talent contestant X offered us a sneak peek at who he was at the beginning of the show.
The magician tweeted a rather major clue during this year’s audition rounds, and fans of the program unleashed their inner Sherlock Homes and became full-fledged detectives.
Marc, the 2018 Ant and Dec Golden Buzzer, essentially revealed who the person behind the mask was eight weeks ago, after months of speculation.
It is unbelievable that a year has gone by; it has been an amazing experience. He commented, “I hope everyone who is auditioning has the best time and enjoys the ride.”
Dedicated observers believe that Marc used this as a means of subtly identifying himself as X, writing: “It was there all along.” Both “X was dropping the clue right at the start of the series” and “Amazing.”
“It was always hope and never giving up,” Marc told judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, Amanda Holden, and the audience last night when X finally removed his disguise.
