The Filipina three, Miss Tres, made a spectacular debut on Britain’s Got Talent, strutting onto the stage in gorgeous silver gowns that looked like they belonged in a runway fashion show. They told Simon Cowell that they wanted to be like the Spice Girls or Destiny’s Child and hinted at a “surprise” for everyone. When the music started, they sang a loud baritone version of Tom Jones’ “Sex Bomb” in place of Britney Spears’ “Baby One More Time.”
Miss Tres, who was between 35 and 43 years old, had a talent for holding people’s attention. The whole crowd cheered as the trio began their performance, and Judge David Walliams was especially impressed. They paid respect to Tom Jones’ legendary song with their powerful voices, showcasing groovy dance routines, trading lead vocals, and harmonizing flawlessly.
With 56 million views and a place among the top 24 most popular acts in the history of the competition, Miss Tres’s unorthodox audition resonated with viewers and cemented her as Britain’s Got Talent royalty. The foursome received a standing ovation from the equally captivated live crowd.
Cowell joked with the group after their performance, asking if they had been concealing something from the start. “Surprise!” exclaimed one member, drastically lowering her voice. They were praised by Amanda Holden for their amazing voices and beautiful looks. With their video receiving 35 million views, Miss Tres also caused a stir on Asia’s Got Talent.
