Goldie Hawn revealed that she no longer finds the glamour and glitz of Los Angeles alluring after two horrific incidents that occurred in her family’s home.
The rising crime rate in Los Angeles even affected Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s home. The seasoned actress said she plans to leave the city, especially after she and her family were the victims of two break-ins in a short period of time, when she appeared on Kelly Ripa’s “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast.
She disclosed that she and her lifelong friend Kurt Russell have been thinking about moving. They claim that Palm Desert is a more pleasant and secure location than Los Angeles, which they now consider to be “dreadful.”
Hawn explained that she had experienced two break-ins with her family. She claimed that in both cases, the robbers had tried to get into her property and that one gang had managed to do so by looking through their rooms.
She disclosed the whole extent of the robbery by saying, “They completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they’re very, very sophisticated, and they got a lot of my goodies, if you know what I mean.”
As the couple tried to move on from the first heist, they were robbed again four months later. The whole experience really pushed her to take action when she came to the realization that L.A. might not be the right place for her. She is still constantly on guard and can’t relax because the incident left her so rattled.
There have been burglary at other places besides Goldie Hawn’s house. According to reports, several well-known people were the victims of crimes in 2024, including King Bach, Corinna Kopf, Farrah Aldjufrie, and Patrick Patterson.
