The guest artist who will sing at the much-anticipated Super Bowl halftime show is already attracting a lot of curiosity. Even non-sport fans are talking about going to the show to see the much anticipated musical performance.

The NFL announced that SZA will join Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar. The announcement was made via a funny video that showed SZA saturating Kendrick with a blue drink, similar to what the victorious team may give their coach after a win.

Joining @Kendricklamar on stage! SZA wrote, “#AppleMusicHalftime #SBLIX,” as the photo’s description. The two will perform at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9.

Fans of SZA are eager to see her play live. One individual wrote, “Just watching the Super Bowl for sza [sic].” “I’m really excited,” another person wrote. An additional admirer exclaimed, “SZA BOWL! I will now watch football even if I don’t normally!Another person commented, “I just learned that SZA will be performing at the Super Bowl. I WILL BE WATCHING [sic].”

SZA is the stage name of Solána Imani Rowe. SZA and Kendrick Lamar will begin their US and Canadian tour after the halftime show. Kendrick’s sixth studio album, “GNX,” is being promoted by the tour.

Her involvement in the tour with SZA is enhanced by the fact that she co-wrote two of the album’s songs. The tour ends in Washington on June 18 after making stops in Minneapolis on April 19.
