Ripa sobbed while talking about the passing of her beloved dog, Chewie, on live air on Wednesday.

He disclosed that Chewie’s condition had rapidly deteriorated; she had stopped eating and was severely dehydrated. As Kelly heard the words, she started crying uncontrollably.

I’m truly sorry. I thought I said it all, guys. I’m sorry I didn’t express myself completely; I really thought I had. This is not how I wanted things to go. “Thank God, she gave us so much,” Ripa remarked.
According to Kelly, Chewie is a very lovely and loving dog. Even after Kelly and Mark’s children grew up and left for college, Chewie remained a part of their family, a loyal friend, and a constant source of joy in their household.

“She was really similar to a cat, you know, in many ways,” Kelly continued.
She petted you when she wanted affection. We tried to kiss her face, but she refused. She held her face in high regard. She wasn’t that dog. I also gave her face and nose a thousand kisses when she passed away last night.
I had never kissed her nose before. She was p**sed somewhere in dog heaven, and I know it! But I didn’t mind since it was just so nice to have it.
