Mom issues warning after toddler nearly lost eyesight from bath toy

The more toys in the water, the better, as most kids think of bath time as the conclusion of the day.

However, one Illinois mother is warning parents that an apparently harmless bath toy can be dangerous for kids after a horrific event that left her young son in danger of losing his sight.

While giving her 2-year-old son Baylor a bath, Eden Strong noticed that his eye hurt. After having a bath, Baylor’s eye grew worse, but she blamed it on getting water in it.

It has received 300,000 shares.

Eden posted graphic pictures of her son’s injuries to Facebook in an effort to warn other parents. 320,000 individuals have shared the post since then. Images of children from other parents who had experienced similar things entered Eden’s mind.

Strong said she hopes manufacturers will keep this in mind while creating bath toys.
