Disabled dog abandoned with a bag of diapers and a note

Adopting a paralyzed dog or cat may not be the ideal choice for certain pet owners.

However, don’t be put off by a dog’s particular needs; it might be a very fulfilling experience.

Unfortunately, disabled pets are often abandoned by their owners.

Due to a disability, Lunita, a cute tiny puppy, was abandoned on the streets of Salta, Argentina.

Lunita, a medium-sized female dog with a disability, was abandoned on the streets early in the morning of May 2014.

Beside her was a letter with her name, age, and an explanation.

Her former owner left her without food or water. The person went on to say that they couldn’t keep her. There were no more details available.

Lunita was found on the sidewalk, face down, with her back legs still attached to a dilapidated wheelchair.

Luckily, one of the dog groomers saw Lunita and called the rescue organization LUBA Salta.

Two volunteers quickly rushed over to pick Lunita up.

Lutina was taken to a foster home after being brought to a shelter, and her information was posted online in the hopes that she would find a home.

But nothing happened until a family in America showed interest!

A fundraising campaign was launched to pay for Lunita’s move to the United States.

Unfortunately, Lunita’s new adopted home did not suit her needs. Her new household failed to provide adequate care for the crippled dog.

Because of a bed that was infected with mites, Lunita suffered a very unpleasant staphylococcal sickness during that period.

Lunita was pursuing this new tragedy in her life. Her prognosis was poor, and her breathing was becoming worse. taken in by another adoptive family.

The disease, scabies, and urine scalding caused Lunita to lose all of her hair from the waist down, including the tail.

She was also underweight because she barely weighed 35 pounds.

Every time a caregiver washed her butt and privates, she would scream because she had a terrible urinary tract infection.

Although it took a lot of effort and medical attention to address all the ailments, she eventually recovered.

Lunita was healthy and had a new family, but she also traveled a lot, made new friends, saw snow for the first time, and even enjoyed birthday parties.

June 15, 2018, was one of Lunita’s most joyous days.

She had a terrific time with all of the people and pets who came to celebrate her eleventh birthday on that particular day.

They even ate her special dog-friendly cake.

However, she fell ill shortly after her eleventh anniversary and was admitted to the intensive care unit, where she fought for her life once more.

Her prognosis was poor, and her breathing was becoming worse.

Every time they took Lunita’s oxygen away, her tongue would start to turn blue. As a result, her family decided it was time for her to go.

Lunita passed away surrounded by her loved ones.

In a Facebook post, Lunita’s mother wrote, “I will never forget her and how much she meant to me.”

“She changed my life forever. I loved her very much.

Lunita’s quest ended because of her advanced age and previous difficulties.

She clearly had a fantastic last chapter of her life, though. Lunita is a great example of perseverance.

I hope her life will serve as an example for those who think things won’t get better. May you rest in peace, Lunita!
