John Hetlinger from Broomfield, Colorado, looked like the last person you would expect to rock out on America’s Got Talent. At 82, he is a former Navy pilot who spent 21 years in the aerospace industry and helped manage the instrument that repaired the Hubble Space Telescope.
The judges expected a classic crooner. Instead, John launched into “Bodies” by Drowning Pool and roared through the song with the energy of a much younger rocker. 🤘
Simon Cowell admitted he thought John would sing “Fly Me to the Moon”, then told him, with the utmost respect, that he was an animal. The audience loved every second of it.
Three yeses sent John through to the next round, and he called the moment the high point of his many careers. ❤️
