Milton Patton walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage looking every bit like a country boy. He said he is 21 years old and comes from Forrest City, Arkansas.
He explained that his love for country music grew after a bad relationship. One day, while driving to work with his boss, the song Whiskey Lullaby came on the radio, and it matched exactly what he was going through.
He told the judges that this audition meant everything to him. He had worked very hard to get there, and he was not going to stop.
Then he sang Whiskey Lullaby, and his deep, unusual voice surprised the whole room. The audience was completely taken by it 🎶.
When the judges told him he had an amazing and unique voice, and that they could see a superstar in him, Milton got very emotional. He said he had worked so hard to get there and had even slept outside the audition.
One judge agreed with Mel B that he was incredibly surprising and incredibly talented, a real diamond in the rough. Another judge told him that the things we work hardest for, and the things that cause us the most pain, are the ones that pay off in the end, and that this night was his payoff.
The judges agreed that he was on his way, and Milton left the stage with their support and a huge smile ✨.
