Nicole Kidman Crashes Keith Urban’s Stage on His Birthday Grabs the Mic and Sends the Crowd Wild

To collect money for Hurricane Helene victims, Luke Combs and Eric Church hosted the Concert for Carolina on Saturday night, October 26.

With James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Bailey Zimmerman, and many more on the star-studded program, fans expected an evening full of surprises and unusual performances. Nobody’s bingo card, though, probably had Church and Nicole Kidman leading the crowd in a rendition of “Happy Birthday.”

But that’s exactly what occurred at the sold-out stadium event when Kidman climbed the stage to join her husband, country music legend Keith Urban, one of the night’s big attractions.

concert to raise money for Carolina. Combs will give his portion to Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, and Eblen Charities.

Kidman spoke of her and Urban’s joy at being in Charlotte, North Carolina for the event, which she says was made possible “by Eric calling Keith.” She did, however, also wish to briefly draw attention to her husband, who was celebrating his 57th birthday on Saturday.

“He said, ‘The one thing I can do,’ and I do want to mention that tonight is his birthday.” Kidman told the crowd after her brief onstage presence that Urban was excited to be taking part in the charity on his big day.

Before she left the limelight, Kidman and Urban pulled Church on onstage, and the Chief joined the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to Urban, who seemed a bit shy about the attention but clearly enjoyed the spontaneous, fun event.

Church stayed onstage for a duet with Urban after his birthday was celebrated. They performed their 2013 duet, “Raise ‘Em Up.”

The Concert for Carolina began after Combs, a native of North Carolina, pledged to act to help those impacted by the devastating hurricane in his home state. The performance sold out Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium and was broadcast live on Veeps.

A part of the proceeds will go to Combs and Church’s Chief Cares Foundation.
