16-pound giant baby made headlines in 1983. Now he’s all grown up and still famous for is size

When Patricia Clarke, then 24 years old, fell pregnant in 1983, she knew right away that her unborn child would be large.

She knew that big babies were typical in her family because she had already had one. However, she was unaware of the size of the unborn child she was carrying.

Patricia gave birth to Kevin Robert Clark, who proudly weighted more than 16 pounds. In addition to being the largest baby delivered at Community Memorial Hospital, he was maybe the largest baby in the state of New Jersey at the time.

Though his baby clothes were too small and he couldn’t fit into a conventional sized crib, Kevin was in excellent health, much to his parents’ relief.

His size was immediately noticed, of course. He became well-known across the country, was featured on “Good Morning America,” and inspired a segment on “Saturday Night Live.”

Start how you plan to go on.

However, Kevin didn’t stop stealing the show there.According to the New York Post, at the age of twelve, he stood five feet seven inches tall. By junior high, he was six feet five. After that, he simply continued to grow in size.

Kevin told the Post, “I feel like I get asked how tall I am every day.”

I like it when people make fun of my 5-foot-21 height. When someone asks me if I play basketball, I tell them I play miniature golf.

Today is Tom’s 35th birthday. He lives with his 6-foot-6 wife and Great Dane and was formerly in the military.

Compared to nearly everyone else, he can easily adapt to his greater stature. In fact, his massive stride takes it all in stride. Today, Tom is six feet nine inches tall.

It must be tough being practically born into the spotlight and having people pointing at you and questioning you all the time. But Kevin seems to be handling it rather well. We wish him the very best in life!
