The dreadful cross-sea is one of nature’s most scary wonders.
Since nature can be both beautiful and horrible at the same time, it goes without saying that we poor mortals should constantly respect it.
In general, the growth of the internet and the subsequent explosion in information sharing have been extremely beneficial to our species’ overall education. The majority of us today have quick access to information that our parents’ parents would never have had, and social media platforms often give us weekly opportunities to see and listen to stuff from around the globe.
Since I think the internet’s real power lies there, I make it my goal to share life-hacks, important messages, and warnings wherever I can. To put it another way, if I find something interesting online, I’ll try to share it.
Think about the stars on barn doors and their fairly mysterious meaning. For instance, if you saw someone with a bowstring tattooed on their hand, what might it mean?
Today’s material, however, is presented in a more ominous way. It has to deal with a natural phenomena known as “cross sea.” and I believe that everyone should be aware of it.
Although the “cross sea” phenomenon might be fascinating to see, swimmers, surfers, and boats are among the many people and objects that could be seriously harmed by it.
This strange ocean phenomenon is said to happen when waves collide at different angles, forming square-shaped areas in the water.Even when the wind changes, waves from one weather system continue to form, giving the impression that the ocean is a patchwork quilt from above.
Needless to say, whenever this scene occurs, it has the power to capture the attention of everyone nearby. Simply take a look at the image below and honestly tell me if you weren’t interested in learning more if you were present.
But beneath a cross-sea, there are currents powerful enough to toss anything—including ships—about like children’s toys.
Although oceangoing ships are designed to confront waves head-on, doing so is exceedingly dangerous when waves are approaching from all sides. Some academics believe that ships have sunk after crossing the ocean, though this is hard to confirm.
Therefore, if you ever see telltale squares forming on the water’s surface, stay out of the water and warn others to do the same. Naturally, enjoy them from a distance, but avoid making the mistake of endangering yourself.
