Makenna Salinger and Brock walked onto The X Factor USA stage as best friends, not a couple, even if the judges could not resist asking. The pair started singing together as a hobby four years earlier, and their moms were waiting backstage.
They chose “Colder Weather” by the Zac Brown Band. From the first lines their voices locked together, and their easy country sound filled the room. 🎶
Cheryl Cole said their harmonies were spot on and their vocals were controlled. Paula Abdul called their blend lovely, and Simon Cowell admitted this style was not usually for him but said the voice he heard was sensational.
All four judges said yes, and the two friends left the stage knowing their hobby had turned into something much bigger. ❤️
