Carly Rose was 13 and from Westchester, New York, when she waited hours for her X Factor USA audition in Providence. She admitted she always gets a little nervous, but said singing was what made her feel great.
When her turn came, she sang Feeling Good by Nina Simone, a song she chose herself. The mature, powerful voice that came out of such a young girl stunned the arena. 🎶
The judges could hardly believe it. One said she had an old soul, Simon joked that someone must be singing for her behind the screen, and another said a star had just walked onto the stage and that she wanted to buy her music right away.
Four yeses later, Carly said she would remember that day for the rest of her life. ❤️
