Jennel Garcia was 18, fresh out of high school, and from a small town in Rochester, Massachusetts. Her dad builds and races cars, her mom works in healthcare, and she told The X Factor USA cameras she was doing this to make her family proud.
She said she loves old rock like Pat Benatar, then launched into Paris (Ooh La La) by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. The sweet girl disappeared, and a fiery rock singer took over the stage. 🎶
One judge called her a feisty little fireball. Britney Spears said she was not expecting that at all. Another said the pop charts were missing a young Pat Benatar and that she was different and exciting.
The yeses came quickly. Jennel walked off saying she never expected them to like her that much. ❤️
