He Packs Steel in a Factory by Day and Plays Gigs by Night, Then His Wonderwall Stunned The X Factor Judges

Jaymie De Boucherville had just turned 21 the day before his audition on The X Factor Australia. He comes from Clyde in Victoria, and his whole family came along to support him.

He started singing when he was about nine years old, and his stepdad showed him his first chords on the guitar. From there, music became his passion.

By day, Jaymie works in a factory. He packs steel into boxes, stacks them on pallets and moves them with a forklift. He said the days are long and tough, but it pays the bills, and when he gets home, music helps him relax.

He told the judges he does music not because he wants to, but because he has to. To him, music is everything, and it is what he wants to do for the rest of his life 🎶.

Then Jaymie sang Wonderwall by Oasis, giving the famous song a soft and personal feel.

The judges loved it. One judge said they loved the song, but loved his version of it even more. Another reminded him of what he had said, that he makes music because he has to, and told him it was time to follow his passion.

Then came the vote. The judges said yes one after another, and Jaymie went through to bootcamp, while his proud family celebrated with him ❤️.
