Joel and Donovan, the duo behind Great Canadian Dueling Pianos, came to Canada’s Got Talent with a million dollars on the line and absolutely nothing prepared. The judges could hardly believe it when they explained their plan.
Instead of a rehearsed song, they asked the panel for requests and promised to mash them together on the spot. The picks were “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Let It Go” from Frozen. They chose a key, sat at their pianos and turned two very different hits into one lively performance. 🎶
The judges loved the risk. One compared their blend to what the biggest DJs do around the world, only done in their own unique way. The verdict was four yeses.
It was a bold way to audition, and it paid off. With two pianos and a lot of nerve, Joel and Donovan turned a gamble into one of the most fun moments of the night. ❤️
