Celine Polenghi was 16 when she stepped onto The X Factor USA stage, with her dad, mom, sister and best friend cheering her on. When the judges asked if she thought she could win, she answered with a confident yes.
She chose “When You Believe”, the famous duet by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. It is a huge song for any singer, and Celine gave it everything she had. 🎶
Simon Cowell said it was not perfect, but he saw massive potential. He loved that she was brave enough to pick that song and said he could see a future pop star standing in front of him.
The rest of the panel agreed, and Celine left with four big yeses and a place in the next round. ❤️
