Jackie is 53, originally from Wales, and lives on a farm in Oxfordshire with chickens, ducks, horses and two peacocks called Chaz and Dave. She came to The X Factor with her daughters and stepdaughter, admitted she was nervous, and joked that she wanted Robbie Williams to marry her daughter.
She chose the Cilla Black classic You’re My World. Her voice was warm and steady from the first line, and as the song grew bigger the audience started cheering and swaying along with her. 🎶
One judge said she reminded him of everything great about home. Ayda Field told her she was incredible and said stories like hers are exactly what the show should be about. Simon admitted he first thought she had walked onto the wrong show by mistake, then called her a little tiger.
Jackie left with four yeses from a panel that included Robbie, the man she called her icon. A quiet farm life just got a lot louder. ❤️
