Brandie Love, a 21-year-old orthodontic assistant, came to The X Factor USA auditions in Charleston with her boyfriend Brandon, an Army helicopter pilot. She said it meant so much for him to see her sing, because she did not know when he would get the chance again once he was deployed.
Brandie loves country music, but she picked Up to the Mountain, explaining that her country accent comes through when she sings anyway. Her warm, soulful voice filled the arena, and the a cappella moment near the end gave everyone chills. 🎶
Simon Cowell told her she took them to church. Another judge said she brought soul to country music and took her right back home to Texas, and the panel praised how real and sincere she was.
Every judge said yes, and Brandie left the stage one step closer to the dream she had been chasing. ❤️
