Simon, 12, and Maria, 10, were both born in Colombia and now live in New Jersey. They arrived at America’s Got Talent in sparkling outfits made back home in Colombia, and Sofia Vergara laughed that she could tell where they came from because they smelled like coffee.
It was their first time in front of such a big audience, but once the salsa music started, nerves were nowhere to be seen. Their quick footwork, spins and lifts were sharp and full of joy, and the two moved together like seasoned professionals. 🎶
The judges loved the energy. One praised the chemistry between them and the hours of rehearsal behind every step, while Heidi Klum said she loves seeing kids who do more than sit in front of screens. Another judge called them a ray of sunshine.
Sofia proudly gave the first yes as a fellow Colombian, and the siblings left the stage with four yeses and huge smiles. ❤️
